Event Guides (KBYG) · Government & Municipal

Event Guides (KBYG) for Government & Municipal.

A role-scoped KBYG shared across portal and mobile. Written once, rendered differently for each audience. A street festival answers to more agencies than any private show: permits, public safety, after-action review. Compass documents the operation as it happens, from volunteer check-in to the last incident report, so the record writes itself.

How It Shows Up

What Government & Municipal Teams Run On Event Guides (KBYG).

Write once. One guide per project. Every persona auto-scoped to their sections. On government & municipal jobs, this shows up as civic events, public festivals, emergency coordination.

Section library. Overview, schedule, set times, timeline, credentials, contacts, FAQ, SOPs, PPE, radio channels, evacuation, fire safety, accessibility, sustainability, code of conduct, plus any custom section you need. On government & municipal jobs, this shows up as civic events, public festivals, emergency coordination.

Auto-scoped render. Each viewer lands on the persona view built for them. No manual link-juggling. On government & municipal jobs, this shows up as civic events, public festivals, emergency coordination.

Portal and mobile. Same guide, rendered cleanly whether the viewer is on a laptop or at the gate. On government & municipal jobs, this shows up as civic events, public festivals, emergency coordination.

Industry Outcomes

What Changes For Government & Municipal Operators.

For city event offices, parks departments, and the agencies behind public festivals. Compass schedules staff and volunteers per zone, tracks permits against the event record, files incidents with time and location for the after-action report, and puts emergency procedures on every worker's phone.

  • Schedule staff and volunteers per zone with check-in at the perimeter
  • Permit records tracked against the event, visible to every lead
  • Incident reports carry timestamp, GPS, photo, and reporter for the after-action file
  • Emergency procedures published to every worker's phone before gates
  • Daily logs that stand up as the operational record
  • Every change lands in an immutable audit log, exportable for records requests

Event Guides (KBYG) for Government & Municipal · FAQ

Do guests need an account to view the guide?
No. Published guides are readable by the link. Guests see the sections scoped to them and nothing else.
How is this different from a PDF KBYG?
A PDF can't be scoped by role. It can't be updated the morning of the show. It can't be rolled back. Event guides do all three, and they do it instantly.
Can volunteers who are not city employees use the app?
Yes. Volunteers join the event with scoped access: their shift, their zone, their check-in, and the emergency guide. They never touch staff scheduling or internal records.
Will the records satisfy an after-action review or a records request?
The operational record is built for exactly that. Incident reports carry timestamp, GPS, photo, and reporter. Every change is in an immutable audit log, and logs export cleanly.
Can we pilot this on a single event before a wider procurement?
Yes. Most agencies start with one festival or one season. A single-event pilot exercises the full system, and the data carries forward if you expand. Contact us about procurement paperwork; we have done it before.
