Gated Phases

Also: production phases, phase gates, nine phases

Gated phases are the sequential macro arc of a production under XPMS: Discover, Design, Advance, Procure, Build, Install, Operate, Amplify, Close. Each phase ends at a gate, a checkpoint where defined criteria must clear before downstream work proceeds, which keeps procurement from outrunning design and settlement from starting before operations close. Amplify is the newest phase, added at gate 8: content capture, media and press, broadcast, and post-event campaigns treated as first-class production work with their own gate. In the Atlas ecosystem every project carries its XPMS phase, and the console home renders the Project Lifecycle as all nine gates, grouped into the three acts, with the production's recorded gate marked current and that gate's real criteria listed underneath.
