Settlement
Also: show settle
Settlement is the post-show financial close-out: reconciling box-office numbers, deducting venue costs, paying artist guarantees and back-end percentages, settling per diems, and producing a settlement sheet signed by the artist's representative. Settlements happen at the venue, often the same night as the show, and depend on accurate, real-time box-office data. Mature production stacks run settlement off live data, not next-day spreadsheets.
