Per Diem

Also: PD

Per diem is the daily cash allowance paid to crew or talent for meals and incidentals while traveling for a production. Per diem rates vary by city and country (GSA publishes US federal rates) and may differ for crew vs. union-rate crew vs. talent. Per diem typically settles in cash on a per-show basis or accumulates on a paystub. Tour managers track per diem against the city × day rate matrix.
