Show calling is the live act of calling cues — lighting cues, audio cues, video cues, automation cues, talent intros, security pivots — during the show. The show caller works from the ROS, communicating over comms to each department. The show caller's role is the single most important live-event coordination position. A clean show call is invisible; a broken show call is the difference between a great show and a recoverable one.
