Show Call

Also: calling the show

Show calling is the live act of calling cues (lighting cues, audio cues, video cues, automation cues, talent intros, security pivots) during the show. The show caller works from the ROS, communicating over comms to each department. The show caller's role is the single most important live-event coordination position. A clean show call is invisible; a broken show call is the difference between a great show and a recoverable one.
