Shift Handover

Also: shift change, handover report

A shift handover is the controlled moment when one shift passes responsibility to the next: open items, in-progress work, active risks, radio channels, and anything the incoming lead must know before the outgoing lead walks. Around-the-clock operations (festival builds, 24-hour load-ins, security posts) live and die on handover quality, because most cross-shift failures trace to something the last shift knew and never wrote down. Strong handovers are structured and logged. In the Atlas ecosystem, shift handovers are captured as structured field records tied to the shift, visible to the incoming crew before they clock in.
