An input list is the audio team's reference: every channel on the console, what's plugged into it (mic model, DI box, line in), and how it's labeled. Input lists are bundled with the technical rider, given to the front-of-house and monitor engineers in advance, and used to pre-patch the console before sound check. A clean input list saves hours at load-in.
