Atlas vs. Beekeeper

Compass vs. Beekeeper: the production site record vs. frontline communications at industrial scale.

Beekeeper starts from a real observation: most frontline workers never had a company login, and it builds the connection layer for them, streams and chat in the worker's own language, surveys, forms, shift info surfaced in the same app, integrations into HR and ops systems. At hotel-chain and factory scale that layer earns its keep. Compass assumes the connection and goes after the work: the geofenced punch, the sub-100ms gate scan, the incident with anonymous filing and manager sign-off, the punch list before doors, the custody chain on the gear, all one org record shared with the operator console.

Bottom line
Connecting a factory, hotel group or logistics floor that email never reached? Beekeeper is built for exactly that. Running production crews who must schedule, scan, file and hand over on site? That is Compass.

Where We Win.

Operations native, not integrated

Beekeeper connects workers to systems that live elsewhere. On Compass the shift, the punch, the scan and the incident are the system, one record store the console and portals read.

Proof is the product

Anonymous incident filing with manager sign-off, punch items with photos, custody moves with provenance. A comms layer can tell people things; it cannot prove what happened on site.

Built for the ten hard days

Load-in, show, strike: headcount triples, signal dies, everything is time-stamped. Offline-first capture and per-org pricing are shaped for exactly that week.

When Beekeeper Wins.

We're not the right call for every room. These are the cases where they are.

  • You run a factory floor, hotel group or logistics network and the core problem is reaching thousands of non-desk employees, across languages, who never had a company login. That is Beekeeper's published home turf.
  • You are keeping your existing HR, scheduling and ops systems and want a connection layer over them rather than a new operational record.

Migration Path.

For teams moving from Beekeeper.

  1. Export the workforce directory as CSV; it maps to Compass crew, joined by invite or org code
  2. Run the two feeds in parallel for a transition period; move operational records (shifts, incidents, time) to Compass first, comms follow

vs. Beekeeper · FAQ

Does Compass handle crew without corporate email, like Beekeeper does?
Yes. Crew join an existing organization by invite or org code and install the PWA. Organizations are created and configured in Legend on the web beforehand, so joining stays simple.
We mostly need comms. Is Compass too much?
If comms across a huge static workforce is the whole problem, a dedicated platform like Beekeeper is the honest recommendation. Compass earns its place when the same crew also needs shifts, punches, gates, incidents and close-out on one record.
