ATLVS vs. Rentman

ATLVS Technologies vs. Rentman: the production org's ecosystem vs. rental and production resource management.

Rentman's published pitch is resource management for the AV and event production industry: plan the gear, schedule the crew, send the quote, track equipment with QR codes, invoice the job. It is a mature suite for the shop that rents and produces. ATLVS approaches the same org from the site: COMPVSS carries the shifts, punches, incidents, custody chain and the gate offline-first today; LEG3ND carries courses, certifications and SOPs; GVTEWAY carries the public marketplace. The console's quoting and inventory desk is coming.

Bottom line
For planning gear and crew against jobs from the office, Rentman is a strong, published, purpose-built suite. For the field record of the show and the surfaces around it, ATLVS is live today, with the console on the way.

Where We Win.

The show's record, not just the job's resources

Rentman plans the gear and the crew against the job. COMPVSS records what actually happened on site: the punch, the incident, the custody move, the scan at the gate, all offline-first with provenance.

The org's whole surface

Knowledge lives in LEG3ND, the public side lives in GVTEWAY, and both read the same org record the field writes. A resource planner stops at the job.

Crew surges cost nothing

Per-org pricing with unlimited users absorbs the load-in week. Licensing that scales with usage bills it.

When Rentman Wins.

We're not the right call for every room. These are the cases where they are.

  • You are an AV rental and production company whose daily job is planning equipment and crew against projects from the office. Rentman publishes exactly that suite and it is mature.
  • You want quoting, scheduling and inventory in one system today, in production, with a published product catalog to license from.

Migration Path.

For teams moving from Rentman.

  1. Export crew and schedules as CSV; they map to COMPVSS crew and shifts
  2. Production shops typically keep Rentman on the office planning desk while the field record moves to COMPVSS; the console consolidation comes later

vs. Rentman · FAQ

Does ATLVS replace Rentman today?
Not on the office planning desk. Equipment planning, quoting and invoicing are console surfaces and marked coming soon. The field side, shifts, punches, incidents, custody and the gate, is live in COMPVSS today.
How does equipment tracking compare?
Rentman publishes QR-code tracking through the warehouse and job lifecycle. COMPVSS tracks field custody: GTIN scans, custody moves and a chain of custody on the org record. They answer different questions and some teams run both.

ATLVS Is Open.

Free forever for small teams. Migrate when you're ready.
