ATLVS vs. 7shifts

COMPVSS vs. 7shifts: production crews vs. restaurant teams.

7shifts committed to one industry and it shows: schedules built against sales projections, tip pooling and payouts, POS integrations, labor-compliance guardrails for restaurant rules. If you run restaurants, that focus is the product. COMPVSS made the same bet on a different floor. Our equivalents of the POS integration and the tip pool are the gate scan, the credential advance, the incident chain, asset custody and the punch list, because that is what a production crew has to get right.

Bottom line
Running restaurants? Use the restaurant tool; 7shifts is a strong one. Running builds, shows and strikes? COMPVSS is the field app with that same purpose-fit.

Where We Win.

Purpose-fit for the site, not the service window

7shifts models covers, tips and POS flow. COMPVSS models gates, credentials, custody and incidents, because a production's compliance record looks nothing like a restaurant's.

One store from field to console

What crew write on site lands on the same org record the operator console and stakeholder portals read. No export between the floor and the office.

Surge headcount without seat math

A festival build triples headcount for ten days. Per-org pricing treats that as normal, because it is.

When 7shifts Wins.

We're not the right call for every room. These are the cases where they are.

  • You run restaurants. Sales-projection scheduling, tip management and POS integrations are the daily job, and 7shifts builds directly against them.
  • You are a hospitality group standardizing on one restaurant-ops stack across locations, where 7shifts' integrations were chosen for exactly that.

Migration Path.

For teams moving from 7shifts.

  1. Export 7shifts employees, schedules and timesheets as CSV; they map to COMPVSS crew, shifts and time entries
  2. Venue F&B teams often keep 7shifts for restaurant outlets and run the production crew on COMPVSS; the two rosters rarely overlap

vs. 7shifts · FAQ

We run venue concessions and a production crew. Which tool?
Both is a legitimate answer: 7shifts for the F&B outlets it is built for, COMPVSS for the crew that builds and runs the shows. If you consolidate, COMPVSS carries the scheduling and time basics for both, without the restaurant-specific tooling.
Does COMPVSS do anything like tip management?
No. Tips are restaurant machinery and we do not pretend at them. Pay-relevant records on COMPVSS are punches, timesheets and manager review, exported to your payroll.

ATLVS Is Open.

Free forever for small teams. Migrate when you're ready.
